KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Peoria Rivermen are on the brink of elimination in the SPHL’s President’s Cup playoffs.
The Rivermen fell Thursday night 4-2 in Game 3 of the semifinals in Knoxville to the Ice Bears in the best-of-five semifinals.
Matt Wiesner and Alec Baer scored for Peoria in the 2nd period after the Rivermen went down 4-0.
Game Four is Friday night in Knoxville. The Rivermen must win to force a winner-take-all Game Five in Peoria on Sunday.
