PEORIA, Ill. — Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly is returning to her alma mater next month to speak at Bradley University.
Kelly will be the featured speaker at Bradley’s Women in Leadership Luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Michel Student Center Ballroom.
The event is hosted by Bradley’s Institute for Principled Leadership in Public Service and the Peoria Women’s Club. The luncheon honors university founder Lydia Moss Bradley and will also celebrate the Institute’s 20th anniversary.
Kelly graduated from Bradley with a degree in psychology and is currently serving her second and final term as governor of Kansas.
“For two decades, the Institute has brought people together to explore what principled leadership looks like in practice,” Executive Director Brad McMillan said. “We’re especially pleased to welcome Governor Kelly back to Bradley as we celebrate that milestone and Lydia Moss Bradley’s enduring example of leadership.”
The luncheon is open to the public. General admission tickets are $30, while members of Bradley’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute can purchase tickets for $25. Registration is available through Bradley University.
