PEORIA. Ill. – Police broke up several fights outside graduations at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday.
Peoria Police Sgt. Amy Dotson said five adults, including one graduate, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested, on numerous charges including aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and resisting police.
Dotson said no one was seriously injured, and that the fights happened as one of Peoria Public Schools’ graduation ceremonies was ending and as people were arriving for another graduation.
Peoria High, Peoria Manual, and Richwoods High School all held graduations at the Civic Center on Saturday.
