Square Peg – Meet Round Hole

I was really given only one main task on Easter – fill the eggs with candy so the kids can hunt for them.

Sounds easy.

But look at what I was given to work with.  Oversized boxes of Nerds, plastic mystical animals whose wings and horns wouldn’t fit, chocolate coins that were too big and so on.

Turns out the problem was the eggs.  Way too small. All they could hold was a small chocolate egg and all the Nerds (if you open the box and poured them in).

I was determined to get some of the good stuff in there anyway, so there may have been a few eggs with smashed bunnies and mangled mystical animals jammed inside.

The cool part is the kids really didn’t care – it was all good.

Next year?  Bigger eggs.
