That wet snow over the weekend resulted in something I never thought I’d have to deal with. A fuel door that would not open. My car, probably like yours, has one of those little levers on the floor of the driver’s side and when you pull it it’s supposed to pop open the fuel door. I pulled and pulled…and no pop. I probably spent a good 10 minutes at the gas station yesterday trying no get it open with no success. And I was down to about a quarter tank. But Youtube to the rescue. I found a video that solved the problem. I shoved a glove under that lever to keep it open and was able to pry the door open with a screwdriver. As it turns out the mechanism that pops the door open had frozen. I really hate winter.
