PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley University will offer two new majors that help students get careers in emerging technologies.
The university will start offering programs in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, starting in the fall 2027 semester, under the Computer Science and Information Systems department.
Bradley says applications are currently being accepted for the program.
Angie Cooksy is Bradley’s Vice President of Enrollment Management. She says the Artificial Intelligence major will give students a foundation in computer science, but also explore other areas of machine learning and language learning to properly equip students in a digital world.
Cooksy says the data science major will give students the tools to analyze complex data and apply it to different disciplines.
Cooksy says both programs are about bringing critical thinking and technical skills to various industries.
“One of the things that we hear so much is that AI is going to take over the world, and we want to make sure our students are positioned to be able to influence that future of AI,” Cooksy said.
In a release, Bradley says potential careers include AI machine learning engineers, data analysts, and AI application developers.
