PEORIA, Ill. – Dangerous storms made their impact across central Illinois on Thursday.
A tornado emergency was issued for a large twister near Washburn, which left several homes damaged. A tornado was also reported near Deer Creek, where weather spotters reported a semi-truck blown over and multiple vehicles in a ditch.
Funnel clouds were spotted near Benson and Ipava.
Several trees and large branches were blown down in Morton after 70 MPH wind gusts were reported. An 18” diameter tree was blown down in Trivoli.
Trees and power lines were blown down in South Pekin, and a tree branch reportedly fell on a power line in Delavan.
Wind damage from the storms were also reported in Creve Coeur and Bartonville.
