PEORIA, Ill. (25 News)– The former Peoria referee accused of multiple sex crimes against children will remain in jail for the time being.
25 News reports 61-year-old Kevin Armstrong will be held in jail until his arraignment hearing on June 4th.
Armstrong was arrested last week after authorities received reports from a middle school student accusing Armstrong of inappropriate conduct.
School officials say the incidents occurred outside the school and stress that, although Armstrong was a seasonal employee, he had no direct contact with students and is no longer employed by the school district.
