PEORIA, Ill. – A longtime Peoria journalist, including time spent at WMBD Radio, has passed away.
25 News reports that WMBD-TV general manager and vice president Shaun Newell passed away peacefully.
A native of central Illinois, Newell spent most of his career in central Illinois, with stops at WMBD Radio, WEEK-TV, and WMBD-TV.
Newell also worked for the Center for the Prevention of Abuse, who called him a strong advocate, a compassionate listener, and a tireless champion.
