PEORIA, Ill. –Wednesday’s going to be a hot one, with a threat of severe weather Wednesday night.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says scattered strong to severe storms will approach the Illinois River starting Wednesday afternoon.
“The tornado threat is low, but not zero. Primary threats include damaging winds of 60 miles per hour, quarter size hail and pockets of heavy rain,” Collins says.
Before the storms arrived, Collins says it will be hot and humid with afternoon highs in the low 90s and heat indices around 100.
