PEORIA, Ill. – Each year, Easterseals of Central Illinois honors individuals who’ve had an indelible impact on the community with their annual Tribute Dinner.
“We celebrate Easterseals, kids and families come together. We celebrate with the honorees for all the dedication and devotion, the time, talent and treasures that these individuals give to our community,” says Easterseals of Central Illinois President and CEO Melissa Riddle.
Easterseals joined WMBD’s “Greg and Dan Show” on Friday morning to announce this year’s 33rd Tribute Dinner honorees Mark and Jodi Scott.
Jodi Scott explains why Easterseals is so important to them.
“It’s the children and the families. Your heart goes out to them, you know what they go through on a daily basis…we’re fortunate…we’re blessed,” Jodi Scott says.
Mark Scott has volunteered for Easterseals of Central Illinois since 1988.
“I was involved going clear back to when the telethon was still at the mall. I participated in events just like every other volunteer did, and then a guy I played basketball with…our wives were pregnant at the same time, and Dustin was supposed to be born after Jenna, and he actually came a month before Jenna…and I got hooked with that,” Mark Scott says.
Easterseals of Central Illinois’ 33rd Tribute Dinner is set for November 1, 2024.
