PEORIA, Ill. – A teenage boy was arrested Monday afternoon after a vehicle was stolen in South Peoria earlier that morning.
Peoria Police say an adult male reported four male suspects forcing their way into a home in the area of Shelley and Antoinette, just after 12:15 A.M., with one of the four armed with a gun.
The four took personal items and the victim’s vehicle.
The vehicle was then found at around 3:00 P.M. on Lehman, just off Nebraska, when a 17-year-old was seen entering it and driving away.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the teen fled on foot, and was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
The 17-year-old was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
