PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters responded to a call from E. Maywood Avenue, between N. Maryland and N. Atlantic, Sunday morning for a garage on fire.
Fire Battalion Chief Ryan Calhoun says crews arrived just before 8:20 a.m., finding heavy fire coming from a detached single-car garage behind a home. The fire was brought under control in about 12 minutes.
A fire investigator determined the fire was unintentional.
No injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $60,000.
