PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman wanted since a fatal stabbing near the middle of last month has been arrested.
Peoria County Jail records indicate Cathy Logan, 53, was arrested Monday afternoon on a charge of First Degree Muerder, and was found to be wanted on two Tazewell County warrants.
A grand jury then formally re-filed the murder charge Tuesday afternoon.
The stabbing happened August 10th near Western and Antoinette in the area of a gas station, and police said then Logan was identified by surveillance video captured from near the scene.
Tanazisha Green, 26, was pronounced dead at a Peoria hospital from what turned out to be a stab wound to the chest.
Logan remains in the Peoria County Jail on $1 million bond.
The death was the city’s 12th homicide this year.
