“I Just Need One Word . . .”

How can one word sum up the craziest year in our lifetime? It’s been a nightmare of an year and nobody saw it coming. When we rang in 2020 I thought to myself this is going to be a great year. WOW what a slap in the face this has been. The people at The Oxford English Dictionary couldn’t make just one pick for their “Word of the Year” because they say, quote, “It quickly became apparent that 2020 is not a year that could neatly be accommodated in one single word of the year.” So they picked several words, including COVID-19, work-from-home, lockdown, Black Lives Matter, social distancing among many others. I myself am not sure what word to use to sum up “2020”. Whatever it is may God Bless us all and may we bring light to “2021”
