PEORIA, Ill. – The owner of a Vietnamese restaurant near the Bradley University campus has pleaded guilty to sales tax evasion.
Peoria County Court records indicate Linh Luong, 54, made the plea Monday, with several other charges including at least one felony being dropped in exchange.
Luong – owner of Thanh Linh – agreed to pay more than $200,000 in restitution, and must amend five years of city tax returns and seven years worth of state returns.
Court records indicate during her four years of probation, she must provide accounting every 30 days to state officials.
Thanh Linh is believed to still be open for business. Luong was initially charged in July of last year.
