PEKIN, Ill. – Authorities in Pekin are trying to figure out who might have tried to set three separate fires at one Pekin facility this past weekend.
Pekin firefighters say at various times Saturday and Sunday, someone tried to set two smoke detectors and a garbage can on fire at the UAW Senior Citizens Center on South Parkway.
Officials say one attempt happened Saturday around 3:00 p.m., while the other two happened Sunday at 1:40 and 6:00 p.m.
It’s not clear how much damage was done, if any.
