SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – There is no longer a $1 billion jackpot in the multi-state “Powerball” lottery game.
The Multi-State Lottery Association says one willing ticket was drawn at a mini-mart in Los Angeles, matching all five numbers and the red Powerball number in Wednesday’s drawing.
But, there were some winners in Illinois. The association says one person in Illinois won $1 million by matching those first five numbers. Six people matched four numbers and the Powerball, to claim $50,000 each.
The winning numbers were 7, 10, 11, 13, and 24, with the Powerball number of 24.
There’s still a few chances in Illinois at big bucks. A record $19.7 million jackpot could be won in Thursday night’s Lotto drawing. And, the jackpot for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing sits at $720 million.
The Powerball jackpot now goes back to $20 million for Saturday night’s drawing.
