PEORIA, Ill. — Polls are open statewide Illinois for April elections until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
With a significant increase of people voting by mail permanently, lines at your polling place likely aren’t going to be as long.
A number of mayoral, city council and school board positions are on Tuesday’s ballot in Central Illinois.
Election Commission officials say there’s still time to mail in your ballot if you’re voting by mail, as long as it is postmarked by April 4.
Election results are expected to come shortly after the polling places close Tuesday evening.
