PEORIA, Ill. — An Illinois crash victim reportedly died after being flown by emergency helicopter to OSF Healthcare in Peoria.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood is releasing details today in the death of a motorcyclist from Washburn, Illinois.
State Police investigators say, on June 4, 52-year-old Richard Elston crashed in an area of rural Marshall County, throwing him into a ditch off the roadway.
Specifically, this crash was located State Rt 251 at County Route 1000.
Harwood says Elston was reportedly conscious and alert on scene when he was flown by OSF Healthcare Life Flight Helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria in critical condition.
A news release says despite “aggressive care and treatment” his condition continued to deteriorate.
Elston was finally pronounced deceased Saturday around 9:35 p.m.
