PEORIA, Ill. – The person in charge of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra for the last decade will retire in about a month and a half.
The Symphony says Executive Director Susan Hoffman will retire at the end of April, and it’s possible a replacement has already been found. An announcement of that replacement is expected later this month.
Hoffman is being credited with “a substantial increase in revenue, profitability, sustainability, and subscribing patrons,” according to a news release.
“It has been an honor to serve as Executive Director of the PSO for the last ten years,” said Hoffman, in the news release. “I want to offer my sincere thanks to our Board of Directors, subscribers, patrons, donors, communities, and musicians for their ongoing support. I also want to thank all those I have worked with on the PSO team over the years whose hard work and dedication have allowed us to achieve so much.”
Hoffman came to the Peoria Symphony after 23 years as the CEO of the Adrian Symphony Orchestra in Michigan.
