PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. — Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 24-year-old Cheyenne Edwards, of Canton, rolled her vehicle and struck a power pole in the 18-thousand, 2-hundred block of Smithville Road, south of Trivoli, around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Edwards suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries, and died instantly, Harwood says.
Toxicology reports are still pending.
The crash is being investigated by the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.
TRIVOLI, Ill. – A Canton woman is dead after an accident in rural Peoria County Tuesday morning.
The Peoria County Sheriffs Office says the crash happened in the 18200 block of Smithville Road, south of Trivoli, around 6:00 a.m.
Officials say a 24-year-old woman’s vehicle somehow overturned and struck a power pole.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Peoria County Coroner is expected to provide more details, including the victim’s name.
