PEORIA, Ill. – The driver of a vehicle was transported to a hospital following a rollover accident in Peoria County.
Peoria firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to Radnor Road at the Route 6 overpass at 10:26 a.m. Sunday.
Battalion Chief Michael Hughes said a vehicle traveling northbound on Route 6 left the roadway and careened over the bridge, landing on its top on Radnor Road.
Rescue personnel were able gain access from the driver’s side door and extricated the driver.
The driver was fully mobilized and transported by ambulance to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to Hughes.
