PPD Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the male victim was taken to a hospital, and his injuries were non-life-threatening.
She also said there was no suspect information ready to release.

PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were dispatched Tuesday around 2:45 P.M. to the 1800 block of N. North St. on reports of a victim who suffered a gunshot wound.
Preliminary reports indicated the victim was shot in the hand.
Scanner traffic indicated the victim was having trouble staying conscious.
The crime scene is in the vicinity of the Peoria High School Sports Complex.
An accident was also reported at 1915 N. North, believed to be related to the shooting.
