So How Much Longer?

So now that we’ve gone almost a year on wearing masks, how many hours a day do you wear one? There was a poll taken on mask-wearers, and the average person now spends 2 hours and 54 minutes a day in a mask.  Have a friend in the teaching field who says she typically wears her mask anywhere from 6 to 8 hours a day and has about 10-15 masks in rotation. She only wears about half of them because there uncomfortable to her. How many masks do you currently have in rotation?  The average person has 6. I myself use the disposable ones. Just over a third of us use disposable masks most of the time compared to the use of cloth masks. What’s the longest you’ve gone without washing your reusable mask?  The average answer was nine days . . . but 1 in 9 people said more than two weeks. For the teens and some adults they say 37% of us have dealt with “maskne” or mask-related acne.  People who’ve dealt with it said they wear masks four hours a day.  So an hour longer than average. 1 in 4 people have SHARED a mask with someone else since the pandemic started.  Gen Xers were the most likely to say they’ve done it. Yes eventually we will put down the masks for good but until then, the mask has become a daily essential in our lives. So mask up and take care 🙂
