PEORIA, Ill. — Another round of winter weather is headed for the Peoria area this weekend.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins predicts a slushy mess of rain and snow that will move into Central Illinois Saturday afternoon.
“Rain will overspread the area as the day goes on. The rain will mix with then change to snow Saturday night and continue through Sunday morning,” Collins said.
The Peoria area could see two to four inches of snow with higher amounts North and lesser amounts South of the area. Southeast winds will gust to 35 m.p.h. that will cause visibility problems through the life of the storm, Collins said.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire WMBD Listening Area from 3 p.m. Saturday through 3 p.m. Sunday.
