PEORIA, Ill. – At approximately 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Illinois State Police, the Peoria Fire Department and AMT responded to Rt. 6, just north of Knoxville Avenue for a motorcycle crash.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said 31-year-old Jeremy Brown, of Chillicothe, was traveling north on Rt. 6, when for unknown reasons, drove off the road to the left, crossed the median and landed on the left, southbound shoulder. Brown was thrown from the motorcycle.
Brown suffered severe blunt force trauma and most likely died instantly, Harwood said.
There will be no autopsy. Toxicology tests, required by state law, are pending.
