PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria basketball great has received an impressive promotion.
Peoria Manual Rams star David Booth has been announced as one of two new vice presidents of NBA basketball operations.
Booth, along with Malik Rose, will be working directly with teams and players on league programs, rules and initiatives according to nba.com.
Booth joins the NBA’s front office after working with the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Booth also spent one season as assistant coach at DePaul University, where he played from 1988-1992.
He also played professionally overseas from 1992-2005.
