John Riley is a 23-year radio veteran, musician, comedian, frazzled father of four and host of the Morning Drive on 93.3 The Drive (5:30 am to 9 am Monday through Friday). Named Local Radio Personality of the Year four times by the Illinois Broadcasters Association, Riley is a family-friendly entertainer using music, games, phone calls and his unique perspective to help listeners get their days started on the right foot. Riley is joined by long time market news voice Nancy Flagg. A busy, constantly on-the-run mother of three, Nancy keeps Central Illinois up on the latest news, lifestyle choices and gossip, and tries to keep John in line. Happy Halloween!!! Five Random Things about Halloween


1.  The final numbers are in, and the costume that got the most searches in the U.S., U.K., and Australia was . . . "Frozen"costumes.  Zombie came in second, followed by ninja, pirate, and clown.

 2.  53% of parents with kids under 10 say their kids would rather get CASH than candy on Halloween.

 3.  The word "boo" originated in Scotland in the 1700s, and was defined as, quote, "a word that's used to frighten crying children."

4.  Illinois produces the most pumpkins of any state in the U.S., by far.  The rest of the top five are California, Ohio, Michigan, and New York.

5.  Pumpkin pie is America's second-favorite pie, behind apple pie.  The rest of the top five are pecan, banana cream, and cherry.

Question Impossible: This Halloween tradition originated in Scotland in the 1700's. What is it?
