Running a front yard lemonade stand. When I was a kid it was pretty simple.  Pitcher of lemonade, Dixie cups, a poorly written sign and neighbors who were willing to slug down a quarter’s worth of lukewarm sugar water to see you smile. The lemonade stand was our first “this is what work is” lesson.

Make something and sell it.  Pretty simple.

Now some government entities want the kids to learn some other truths about work.  Like permits, regulation and consequences for not adhering to the rule of law.  Yep. Cops are shutting down the lemonade stands…

Kudos to Country Time for stepping in, but it sure seems like an unnecessary use of resources for all involved.

Everyone should just have a cup of lemonade and relax…
