It Betrayed Me

Opening day of the baseball season is something I always look forward to.  But my White Sox always play in the afternoon and, guess what, I’m on the air talking to you fine listeners.  So I DVR the game and try to stay away from the result until I get home.  I successfully did that yesterday and was texting with a friend about halfway through the game when my phone started to act up and I had to restart it.  After I restarted it all of the notifications I had ignored throughout the day popped up again…revealing the final score of the game.  I couldn’t look away.  You know how your eyes just instinctively go to something that pops up on your phone?  At least the Sox won 14-7.  If I knew they had lost that would have been a frustrating last few innings!
