PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighters and Paramedics responded to a call Saturday evening at 125 SW. Jefferson St. shortly after 4 p.m.
When they arrived, crews found light smoke emerging from underground parking at Twin Towers Plaza.
One vehicle was on fire, but no other vehicles sustained damage.
“The fire did set the sprinkler system off, which kind of kept it in check,” said Battalion Chief Ralph Phillips. “It didn’t damage any other vehicles around it.”
The fire was contained within 15 minutes after crews arrived, and no injuries were reported, according to Battalion Chief Phillips.
After controlling the fire, crews shut down the sprinkler system and removed smoke from the parking garage, main floors and other occupied space.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
